First up, from our misc fabness board: I do not know for sure what these are (wrapped soaps?) but they sure are gorgeous. I tracked down this eye-candy photo and it’s by very talented professional photographer Nicole Franzen.

From eats: I might be the only one on the planet, but true confessions, I don’t go gaga for ombre anything. Or blue cakes. However. This confection with its unusually designed layer decoration, sweet hues, and whimsical crown-like topper had me at hello. Seen on the Ruffled blog, image by Jaylena Photography.

This week’s prize for unusual ways to use flowers goes to a pretty and whimsical floral chandelier from our blooms board. What do you think? Via Brides Magazine UK.

And taking home the prize for florals that aren’t floral…is this interesting and surprisingly beautiful bouquet made from the pages of a (presumably favorite) book. Coincidentally from the same wedding as the blue ombre cake.

In the fashion department, from our threads&kicks board, I must say I am loving the look of these maids for a fall/winter wedding – scarves, cardigans, tights, suede booties, and all. Oh, and I hear the dresses have pockets! Seen on Wedding Chicks, image by Kristina Curtis Photography.

And let’s not forget bride fashion. I am also loving this tea-length option from Marchesa Spring 2014, seen over at InStyle.

From threads&kicks... Feast your eyes on some truly adorable flower girl dresses, paired with appropriately cute shoes curated by the mavens at Martha Stewart Weddings.

Speaking of dresses... Vera Wang is going black and white. Would you wear it? Here’s a walk-through of the 2014 collection.

From our eats board... How chic is this striped cake with just the right touch of glittery glitz in modern metallic? Brought to you by the Aussie-with-a-French-twist brilliance of The Cake That Ate Paris.

And another from the eats department... These fun cake toppers are made from water balloons. I never knew there were specially sized balloons for this purpose, but according to this post from Martha Stewart Weddings, you can find them at most supermarkets and party supply stores. Inflate the balloons and tie them to wooden coffee stirrers. Brilliant!

To round out this week’s Pic(k)s, here’s one from our tabletops board... This shot combines two of my personal favorites: orange and tulips. What a dramatic yet simple setting! Pinned from Moments of Magic via Style Me Pretty, floral design by Erica Rose.
